Deacon Responsibilities

The following is a list of each deacon and his area of responsibility.  There is a primary and a second deacon listed on most duties.  The primary deacon will perform the duty unless he is gone at which point the secondary deacon will fill in for him.  Please use this list as a guide to the area of need and the appropriate deacon(s) serving in that area.

Kelly / Joe

• Building maintenance (lawn moving, snow removal, repairs, painting, etc.)

Buzz / David

• Purchasing of building supplies
• Treasurer

Jeremy / Chris

• Website & picture board

Chris / Jeremy

• Sound, video, paperless hymnal projection & recording

Phil

• Classroom supplies & materials (curriculum materials, teacher supplies, resources, etc.)
• Schedules:
  • Teacher schedule
  • Duty roster & Usher list (men who will be leading in services)
  • Building lockup & communion (families who will be performing services)

David / Buzz

• Communication & information (Phone tree, contact lists, weather related closings, congregational information, mail boxes etc.)

Craig / Kelly

• Benevolent needs (meals for sick or grieving, etc.)

Joe / Craig

• Visitor information (ordering & organizing visitor packets, passing out visitor packets, collecting visitor cards, getting posed on website, making sure seats are available for visitors & tract rack etc.)
